ELEVATING THE VOICEs OF NORTH DAKOTA

ND-ACDA is an active chapter of the American Choral Directors Association founded in 1959. ACDA is a non profit professional organization of choral directors from schools, colleges, and universities; community, church, and professional choral ensembles; and industry and institutional organizations. Members in all 50 states are organized into the local chapters, each with its own separate board of directors.

Surround the State In Song

Surround the State in Song is our Honor Choir Festival for singers in grades 5-7. At sites throughout the state, singers perform the same concert at the same time, quite literally surrounding North Dakota in song!

Middle Level/Junior High Honor Choirs

We have two honor choirs for students in grades 7-9. The Mixed Choir has 100 singers in SATB voicing and the Treble Choir has 90 singers in SSA voicing. Auditions are typically in October with the Festival being during our state conference in February.

SSAA or TTBB HS/Collegiate Honor Choir

We rotate yearly whether we host a SSAA or TTBB Honor Choir for grades 10-12 and collegiate singers. Directors are asked to nominate singers for this Choir. The Festival is during our state conference in February.
